Reheating some meals can produce dangerous chemicals, lead to food illness, and even affect your digestive system, according to scientists and nutritionists.

The following five meals should never be reheated, along with the actual explanations:

  1. Eggs

Never reheat fried or boiled eggs, especially in a microwave.

. can result in food poisoning and release harmful gasses.

Bacillus cereus is a type of bacteria that grows on cooked rice.

. These bacteria are not entirely eliminated by reheating.

. can result in stomach infections, diarrhea, and vomiting.

. Cooked rice should not be left out for longer than two hours.

. Reheating makes botulism poisoning more likely.

. particularly hazardous if stored at room temperature for an extended period of time.

🔴 Why it’s dangerous: One of the deadliest germs, Clostridium botulinum, can develop there.

  1. Palak, or spinach

It is not recommended to reheat green leafy vegetables such as mustard leaves, spinach, and kale.

They contain nitrates, which can change into cancer-causing nitrosamines.

Nutrients are poisoned and destroyed by reheating.

🔴 Why it’s dangerous: Could raise the risk of food poisoning and cancer
